About Jerome P. Aquino
Mr. Aquino received his undergraduate degree in 1979 from St. Joseph's University. He received his law degree in 1982 from the University of Richmond.
Since 1982 he has represented small and dynamic businesses such as 8(a) government contracting companies. In that regard, Mr. Aquino has provided advice concerning all aspects of business operation including asset sales, ownership sales and the drafting of employment agreements.
In addition, he has substantial civil trial experience. During the course of his law practice Mr. Aquino has obtained significant civil judgments. For example, Mr. Aquino obtained a jury verdict in the amount of $500,000 in the Circuit Court of the City of Alexandria concerning a personal injury claim. Likewise, Mr. Aquino received a jury verdict in the amount of $241,000 in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Virginia concerning a fraud claim. Moreover, he has successfully defended businesses who have been sued by subcontractors and employees.
In addition, Mr. Aquino has significant expertise in complex federal criminal cases. For example, in 2005 Mr. Aquino secured a not guilty verdict in a Federal Death Penalty case in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, VA.
Finally, Mr. Aquino has experience in processing immigrant and non-immigrant employment based visa applications. Examples of such visas include EB-1, EB-3 and H-1B.
